Bridal Beauty Trends 2019

We are in full bloom wedding planning season here in Dallas/Ft. Worth. Are you one of the lovely ladies who got engaged over the holiday season? Congratulations! We cannot wait to see all of your pictures and mood boards with your wedding ideas! There are so many things to think about and plan. Feeling overwhelmed yet? It’s ok! We understand and we’re here to help!

Hair and makeup might be far down on your to-do list, but, it’s as important as finding the perfect dress. (Speaking of dresses, check out some of our preferred vendors like Stardust Bridal, LuLu’s and Stanley Korshak Bridal or Elizabeth Lee Bridal for that “say yes to the dress moment.”) Like most things, brides have an idea of what we want but sometimes that just doesn’t work the way we pictured it. The good news is Brite Bar Beauty is going to show you what’s trending for 2019 brides and how we can make those trends work for your big day! Everything from the simple and beautiful to edgy and unique!

Color trends impact bridal and we’re still seeing lots of dusty blue, sage green, champagne gold, rose, and even purple hues. The Pantone Color for this year is Living Coral, which you will see popping up in bridal bouquets, (like in our featured photograph) cakes, and possible even bridesmaid dresses.

Let’s start with trend that is still trending: Boho and Rustic! We are still seeing lots of this look; think light and airy. These effortless, almost, undone styles are proven to be a bridal favorite! Braided updos, soft waves or even a braided crown with small flowers intertwined. All of these are beautiful chic and are becoming classics in their own way. Braids continue to be a huge part of bridal hair and I’m personally grateful it seems to be here to stay! Makeup is soft and natural with a mauvey pink lip like our Kissable Cocktail Liquid Lipsticks like Rum Coke, Society Sip, Rose´ or Blushing Belle. A warm rosy eye with flirty lashes compliments this look. How do you know if this aesthetic is right for you?  If you’ve chosen a white barn like The Establishment Barn, The Nest, or White Sparrow, or a rustic venue like Lost Oak Winery, Blaine Stone, or many of the farmhouse rustic scenes, this look could be perfect for you!

Do you fancy yourself classic and sophisticated? A sleek chignon, simple or intricate updo, even a loosely structured style is perfect for you. What’s great about these styles is they allow your other attributes to shine; you’re flawless skin and beautiful smile. Or the beautiful veil that beautifully matches your dress. Makeup showcases a glowing complexion and brides choose red, mauve, or pink. Eyes compliment lips (typically juxtaposing the two) so with aesthetic you can choose cool or warm tones for the eyes, smoked or soft.

What about the romantic? These styles range from the artfully curated to the soft curls of a half up half down look. A lot of these include a head piece, even jeweled pins are going to be big this year! Soft and romantic might just be t be your look. Makeup is soft and rosy.

If you’re a bride that lives to stand out and consider yourself the edgy type then consider a pony or faux hawks style with pops of color. You could try a high pony with lots of volume or sleek low long pony with a jeweled pin. All of these were big on this years spring bridal runways. The best part about your wedding is being able to make a statement! You will definitely get the wow factor you desire. Makeup is just as daring as hair. Play with color because you have the personality to do it!
