Why do you love doing makeup?
“I love witnessing the joy the transformation of makeup can bring. It can be on the runway, in a photoshoot, for a MOB[mother of bride] who discounts her own beauty, the excited flower girl who gets to play with the big girls, the bride in her dress radiating in her full glory... It satisfies my soul knowing I made a difference for someone.”
How did you get started in makeup?
“A brief moment as a model was my platform for moving into makeup, in particular fashion and photography makeup. Moreover, being in Ireland at that time, wedding work soon became a big piece of my makeup work as well.”
What is your favorite memory with Brite Beauty?
“Meeting Marsi at an FGI panel, speaking as the freelance 'fashion' makeup artist. I liked her and Ali straight away. When I asked her more about BRITE, she seemed kind of surprised at my very keen interest to be a part of her team. I was overjoyed to meet someone in the bridal industry that had done everything so right! I am grateful to this day we connected.”

“Four Seasons bride from Louisiana...casino family. Jonathan[another Brite makeup artist] was literally mobile, moving from room to room, then outside to the golf course patio to complete his bride as she had her 'moments.' Jordan[also another Brite makeup artist] and I handed Jonathan products from the perfect set-up he had created...the only place the bride did not want to have a moment in! There were absolute team moments and Jonathan was a pristine example of the extremes we all go to to serve our clients.”

“Communicate as much information about the makeup look/ hair style as possible. The more we know, the easier it is to cultivate the desired outcome. Moreover, a feeling of trust in your artist can produce an exceptional look, usually beyond expectations.”
